It was a Sunday morning when I was watching Jack LaLanne’s, 92 years old, looking no more than 80, which is pretty good for 92. And, he was there juicing it all up with his wife and another actress. It all seemed so simple, fun, and healthy. Well, I said to my husband “I bought it!” and I was so excited and proud of my Juicer purchase from a Sunday morning show – a real impulse purchase; but, I still thought it was a good one.
The juicer came after a few weeks. It looked like it was made in China! Well, it was. The first time I tried it was a mess and I admit, I made a mistake and the juice started to overflow. So, I read the manual and tried a second time. Guess what? The motor died even before I finish juicing my fruits. I was mad – I was actually looking forward to keeping the juicer; but it died ;-( right there on my granite counter top. The juice is delicious but the product is low quality. So, what’s next? Return Road – it’s actually the name of the address I have to send it back to LOL – I wonder why the name. So, I am waiting for my return label and that’s it – my juicing days are over, at least with Jack LaLanne’s Power Juicer. I DON’T RECOMMEND IT.
I received the Power Juicer as a gift from my mother. I had another far superior juicer that I had been using for years with no problems what-so-ever. Within twoo weeks, the “Power Juicer” has died on me three times. I had to call the hotline to trouble shoot. The last 10 times I tried to call the customer service number was busy…I guess they went out of business.
I would highly recommend looking at another product. This machine is made of plastic and very cheaply made.
Very dissappointed!!!!
Hi Jill – I totally agree. I was very disapointed as well; also b/c when I made the purchase I was so excited and could not wait to get it and start juicying away. What was the other Juicer you had, the one that didn’t break, do you still use it?
Maybe, since I got mine, the Juicer got better, but I would not bet on it.
I AGREE. THE POWER JUICER PRO DOES NOT WORK. IT CHOPS INSTEDA OF JUICE (CUCUMBER). IT JAMS FREQUENTLY AND IS VERY MESSY TO CLEAN UP. I CANNOT GET THROUGH TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONNEL TO GET THE REQUIRED RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER/FORM THAT I NEED IN ORDER TO RETURN THIS CHROM PLATED PLASTIC MADE IN CHINA JUICER. NEVER AGAIN WILL MY IMPULSE OVER-RULE MY COMMON SENSE!!!
Sorry to hear about your disappointment with the Jack Lalane’s Power Juicer – I had to call customer services at least twice to get them to send me that return label. I also asked to keep the recipe books b/c the product just broke so soon. I was upset; I was really excited with the purchase at first. But, not a good product ;-( Good luck and keep trying them, you will through it.
Look, regardless of the product made- NO MATTER WHO makes it- sometimes things fail. The best and most reliable things in the WORLD will sometimes fail, sooner than they are supposed to- that’s what a warranty is for.
If your replacement burns out in a few days, then you have a legitimate complaint.
Hi Ryan,
I appreciate your comment; but, in my opinion, when something breaks in my second try, it’s garbage. Also, I could feel it shaking more than it should, the clean up was not as simple and easy as the commercial claimed. Plus, I could tell it was made of cheap material. Not something sturdy that would last. Thanks again!
If you guys want your reviews to be taken seriously, you might want to use spellcheck.
Hi Robin – hey thanks for the comment and I appreciate you bringing up my typos. I guess I was so upset when I wrote about the horrible Jack LaLanne’s juicer purchase that I even forgot to use spell check. Regardless, my review is very true and, unfortunately, the product cannot be fixed with a click of a button like the grammar errors. Take care!
Thank you all for the warning, I was going to purchase a juicer but after reading all the reviews I have changed my mind. It all sound so good in the commercial but its not worth the problems of having to return it if it doesnt work.
I am glad I was able to help 😉 Happy New Year!
Ditto to all those comments above. The machine juiced properly for me just once before it started vibrating heavily, seizing up and finally just wouldn’t even turn on anymore. It’s a bonafide piece of garbage and I will discourage anyone from ever wasting their money. I’ve tried 3 times now to get return shipping labels; all have been empty promises. These people are just rip-offs in my opinion. It’s too bad, I grew up as a kid in the 60’s watching Jack Lalanne on TV. He was great …
Hi, I was just looking to buy another Jack la lanne juicer. I have had my original one for 3 years and it works fine. i was thinking of getting the stainless steal one. I believe that A) Even the space shuttle breaks down on first flights and it costs way more than this juicer and B) I will stay with my original plastic juicer it does the daily job well and I have no need to feed my ego with a steal one.
Thanks folks!
I am glad your juicer works. I wish I had the same luck -NOT! Thanks for the comment
It’s not a steal one, it’s a “steel” one. Holy mackeral, dumb-dumb
cool! I just bought a bran new one from Goodwill and its like new and works great and I only paid 16 dollars!
I have ordered a juicer, and was enticed to ‘upgrade’ – I have not even received the juicer yet and noticed their website has changed its offer/price and juicer styles 2x… in a couple weeks. So, my top of the line, juicer is now not so top of line. I also realized the soy upgrade may not be included with mine as they changed up the name – most importantly – you cannot get a hold of anyone at the juicer customer service line. Its a hoax. If Jack was a good businessman, he would ensure someone would answer the phone and answer questions/concerns. Before I even receive the juicer, I want to send them to the BBB. A poor example of doing business. What a shame, I was looking forward to receiving and using my juicer.
Wow, that is really bad news; sorry to hear that. Your situation seems almost worse than mine. I hope you get in touch with their support line, I was able to. Good luck and thanks for the comment.
Maybe they are victoms of their own marketing and poor planning. I did not mean to seem supportive of them, just that I was shocked @ all the bad press. I guess it could be a possi ility that they started out well and then had to mass produce at a higher rate of demand, thus putting out a cheaper product. Don’t know.I hope you ladies/gentlemen get your areas of concern addressed. I myself get very peeved when I buy an item and it does not perform as expected.
Good luck on the soy attachment(what ever that is) and I pray you get your juicer and it works well!
Please use spell check. Victim
Hello guys
I would appreciate it very much if any of you give me the customer service number for the lalane juicer. We accidentally threw away the box and all the manuals. I need to order a new sieve. I was ok until I decided to take the commercial upon their word when they said you can stick a whole apple there and not have to cut it up. I ended up with a small hole on the side of the sieve. I love the juice, but I hate the mess, and the cleaning. thanks a lot.

Thank you for the information. I tried calling. I thought it was my lucky day, because I got through right away. I made my choice from the recorded menu, but then I got the recorded soft voice telling me that due to the over whelming call volume, my waiting time will be too long, and I was advised to call later. My plan B is to find someone who exhausted their patience, and decided to through away the juicer, and they wouldn’t mind selling me the part I need.
I have
the Jack Lalane power juicer model CL003AP 250 w
No E232068
LISTED 52EG
Basically I need the inside sieve, but I don,t mind buying the pitcher, and the cup too in case mine break.
my phone No is 330 207 8673. if any one is interested.
It is becoming impossible to get through the customer service line. I ordered my power juicer on Jan 2 09 after my mother-in-law saw it and thought it would be a nice gift. I’m still waiting for it. When I checked online, it says my order is still processing. I want to call and cancel, but I can’t through nor am I able to find an email. And I thought Comcast CS was bad.
Hi Will – I am so sorry to hear this – gee I guess after all I even got lucky I was able to return the juicer. Keep trying, tehy have to answer.
I too was excited with the commercial. On impulse I decided to order on the phone. the sales person tried to sell me everything but the juicer that I wanted. I got so frustrated that I tried to cancel the order or so I think I did she hung up on me after I said to cancel. so I tried to call customer service and they could deny or confirm the order.
but judge on the feed back I’m glade to cancel.
I also wonder if Jack reads all the negative feedback
AFTER READING ALL THE COMMENTS IM GLAD I DIDNT ORDER ONE
i think i will look elsewhere for a juicwer
I was just getting ready to order a Jack La lane juicer, and decided to read your comments. Boy, I am so glad I did.
I had an awesome juicer for many years, (I cannot remember the brand) it broke when I was moving. I since bought 3 different ones, but they were garbage. Can someone recommend a good one ?
So I have to wait for a return label, dam…. This is not at all like the TV. Shar Jackson, is this why you don’t get any show.
Why put your name to this…Maybe Fed is not helping your after all with the money he’s getting from Bitney.
I ordered my Power Juicer online 3.5 months ago, got confirmation / receipt. 10 weeks passed, never received anything, so I bought a different brand (which is pretty good). My card never got charged for the power juicer and I couldn’t find a link to check the status online. Couldn’t reach customer service over the phone, and now reading all the reviews I am glad they never sent me the juicer.
I guess they must be going out of business; it’s amazing how bad it got.
For whatever it’s worth, the infomercial just came on a few minutes ago, same old one they’ve been airing for years with the actress with the horse teeth. But damn do I want to try some green apple juice.
is there another brand that is good to add whole fruit too , if someone know of 1 that doesnt cost more than 200.00
The “Cadillac” of juicers is Vitamix. They have a great reputation. My sister bought hers off their website and even ordered the custom color and all the fun attachments. She paid over $500 for it, but uses it every morning for her and her husband. She LOVES it. They have a Vitamix at CostCo for under $400, which I’ve heard is really good from a few coworkers and friends.
Wow! $500 is a lot, but she makes good use of it. But, when I had my juicer, for a brief couple of weeks, I also noticed you need a lot of fruits and/or vegetables to make one cup of juice; so, it gets really expensive too. Well, glad your sister can do it. Maybe I wil t ry the Vitamix juicer ne day. Thanks for the tips.
You don’t find anything better than a VitaMix. I had my first one for 28 years and begged it to quit–it wouldn’t! I even ground grain and kneaded bread dough in it. I went ahead and bought the new VitaMix since it is twice as powerful. It liquifies grape seeds, cantaloupe seeds, cores etc. The best part of the pineapple is the core. The best part of strawberries are the green tops. The VitaMix liquifies it all–cantaloupe seeds contain 92 nutrients. I was going to buy the power juicer because, although I use my VitaMix every day, it keeps all the fiber. This doesn’t allow the nutrients to be absorbed quite as quickly as pure juice without the fiber. I want both but will not buy the power juicer of Jack LaLane due to all these bad comments. Thanks!
Actually, the Vitamix is a blender. A very powerful one indeed, that will liquefy just about anything. But a smoothie is quite different from a juice in terms of most dietary purposes, as a juicer is quite different from a blender.
I saw the commerical this morning, and was all ready to buy. After all, I’ve seen his commericals for years, and something is working for him. He is in his 90+! But now I am skeptical of the service. Considering millons were sold, the comments here represents a small percentage of unsatisfied customers. Still I’d rather be safe than sorry.
Can anyone recomend a good juicer with the supplying company providing great customer service. Thanks.
Wow! After reading all of the negative reviews for the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer, I am glad I did not have the winning bid on Ebay for this product. I would have spent $65 + $20 shipping for a product I would not have liked.
I just finished looking at the commercial in regards to Jack Lanaines power juicer. I signed onto my computer with credit card in hand. Thank God that I decided to research some of the reviews. I definitely will not purchase his product.
Thanks of all of the reviews, as it saved me money
Jack Lalanne what a piece of junk. Not only does it not work properly, they are trying to bill me an additional 59.99 for shipping, handling and insurance.
I bought it on the TV Commercial that said just 4 easy payments of 29.99. It came in a white box with no extra accessories. They are trying to get me to pay the additional 59.99 which was not disclosed to me. I have stopped my credit card company from paying it. Jack Lalanne Juicer sucks and so do the people that are trying to take me for 59.99 shipping, handling and insurance. Screw Jack Lalanne and his juicer made in China. I have never had bad credit, but they can kiss my ass. Never another thing from Jack Lalanne.
The morons that keep calling and sending letters have no idea what they are talking about. They will not listen to what I have to say. They are mean spirited, rude and can kiss my ass again.
Wow! that’s one angry customer – but you are right. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your comments. It will save me
money.
Hi
I was debating between Breville and the power juicer but guess I am going to stick with Breville. I also have a question for the folks who bought directly from them – was the price different from retail stores? I am planning to pick up the Breville which is the same price as the powerjuice pro ($149) and use my 20%. Bed bath and beyond does have a good return policy. I have returned defective opened items back with no issues. Anyway hope there are no such issues with Breville.
Good luck Kris – I think any other product will be better than the power juicer
I finally got a replacement juicer from the company after 3 calls and 12 weeks of waiting. I haven’t even opened the box yet. I used to work in a health food store and we used Champion juicers there so maybe I’m a bit spoiled. But if I can’t juice carrots and beets then what’s the use?? These things only seem good enough for apples and pears etc. If you want to get serious about juicing, then think about paying 3-4 hundred dollars.
Hey I also have the Jack La La La Lane power juicer, and it works great for me. The negative is the long clean up. I have the white one, and it has worked great for 2 years now. Maybe your product was defective. Also I purchased my jucier from costco, a very reliable source
It’s possible I got a defective juicer, but I didn’t want to try again. I am glad at least one person here had a good experience with the Jack LaLane juicer.
You can get power juicer at shoppers-gate.com :

hi, everyone I have my Jack lalanne Power Juicer deluxe for 3year now and it works very well, infact I juice twice daily approximately 2 liter per juicing for 5~6 person. Yes it happen to me also the juicer shakes but I found out that it’s human error.. the thightening of the blade with Cresent tool was not enough that it cause the Filter to wiggle and hit the cover and this produce sound..so technically it’s not the unit that we should blame but ourselves.. sometimes we have to see and check the real reason of the problem.. inshort the JL POWER JUICER WORKS PERFECTLY AND HIGHLY recommended! infact it can Juicer more than the other brand I have tried one example is the JML from europe they claim so..
Thanks, Jenny Go
Monterey Park, Calif. USA
Now, you sound like you work for the juicer company. But, glad to hear at least one good review.
I agree, I have had mine the white one since 2001 and it works great! Had a glitch where my hubby tightened the blade to tight and it it stopped working but after 10 minutes it worked again and has since then. I also agree most things folks are having problems with are mostly human error more so then the machine. There is not one thing in this world that is aways 100%. It jucies great and I love it, and is priced reasonablly.
No it was not human error on my my part , the juicer broke after two uses. You r one of the few lucky ones
this lady webbyzard must work for another juicer company because she’s too interested into everybody’s comment, I had the lalanne jucer for years works great.
No, I don’t work for any juicer company. I am a consumer spreading the word of a product I didn’t like. Plus, as good blogger, you should reply to your blog visitors’ comments; it’s good blog practice.
i was watching that juicer on tv today and i went to my computer to order one but thank god i saw all thoes bad coments about jack lala juicer thank you you saved me from wasting my money thanks again i wont buy that foir sure i have enought garbage now dont want any more i wonder if jack ever see thoes coments
Well, my husband ordered this juicer and after reading all the reviews I was very, very worried. He ordered it on a Sunday and we received it by Wednesday. I read all my instructions thoroughly, thinking this would help me avoid the pitfalls so many have had!?! =)
Well, we tried it this morning and we thought it was amazing. So much juice with so little effort. We used plums and peaches, apples and celery, mixed and matched. It was quiet and well, amazing, I must say. We loved it. My kids loved it too! AND it was easy to clean up.
So…hopefully these good results will continue!
Great, at least we have a couple good reviews. Thanks for sharing.
HMMMMmmmm……the infomercial was on when I got home from church. My wife had it on. It was very convincing. We talked about it and decided to call but then, on second thought, went to our laptops to see how much it would be to order it online. My eyes were drawn to the reviews. WHEW!!!! There are positive and negative comments but we believe that the negatives far outweigh the positives; therefore, we will not be ordering this product.
I just used my juicer. I have had it over 3 years, i think closer to 4. Maybe they made them better back then. I use it weekly if not daily and i dont take good care of it. It is plastic, except for blades, mesh etc but i have never had an issue with it.
Dont know what to say…I feel somewhat badly for people but man, they all cant suck. I am not saying people here lie, i assume they are telling the truth…but this is a more negative site than positive. In my opinion even the space shuttle that costs Billions has issues, so maybe if a million were sold and only 10% sucked, and everyone that had an issue complained there would be 100K websites bashing the item. But in reality there are 900 Thousand people happy with it.
Just food for thought, rarely do people brag about whats right…why should they, it’s working as it should.
anyway, happy Thanksgiving everyone! God bless!
I have a Jack Lalane Juicer original and have had it now for over four years. It works great. Yes occassionaly the engine will run hot and will not start even after you plug it back up but it says that in the manual. Thats a protection feature to keep it from burning out. If you wait about 20 minutes and let it cool down it will start right up again. Read the manual it tells you thats the way its designed to protect the engine. I believe this is what happen to your juicer. I will be the first to say that if something breaks that soon it’s cheap and needs to be return but that’s after I have made sure I followed all instructions and directions on how to use it. In my opinon Jack Lalane’s juicer is one of the best well made affordable juicer on the market today. Try letting it cool down before you return it and prove me wrong.
I ordered the Jack Lalanne Jucier online on 11/21/09. Checked the order status online to find, much to my surprise, that my order is guranteed to arrive on 12/30/09…… WHAT!??!!? This is over a month away…. So I called the customer service dept who explains that the extra $10 that you pay for express shipping is for when they actually ship out the product….huh…. What good would express shipping be if I have to wait a month just for you to ship the product. Afterwords, the dude starts reading a script, explaining that the juciers are on back order. They don’t have any…dont even know when they are going to be getting them…. What disgust… So at this point, I’m upset… if the product is on backorder this should have been disclosed to me before they took my money. After being talked over and treated extremely poorly, I requested to speak to a supervisor. His reply was that I didnt have a legitimate reason to speak with a supervisor. He said that my reason of concerns were not good enough for his supervisor attention. I could’nt believe what poor customer service I was receiving and I had’nt even received the jucier yet. How will they treat me after I get the jucier and have a problem….. Needless to say, I had them cancel my order. I would’nt recommend anybody buy anything from them. The obviosuly don’t appreciate their customers. I’ll just go to bed bath and beyond and buy the breville jucier… Customer Service name was Keble id: T721
And I don’t care if any of my words are misspelled, so please don’t comment on it….
Just wanted to let you know, I love my juicer and have never had one problem with it
Where can you order replacement parts?
I have Jacks juicer. It works great. I use it daily.
I bought it at K-Mart. The clean up is easy it takes about two minutes.
I recently ordered the juicer and was encouraged to upgrade etc etc. What i settled on and agreed with sales agent was a $4 upgrade to a more sleeker looking model. I confirmed with the agent that the total cost would be around $140 everything included, even with shipping to Canada. When i received the e-mail confirming the purchase they had actually charged me $170 with accessory pack which I had not ordered, and had also charged me $50 for the shipping.
Because of the NY, of course they were shut and I tried to reply to the e-mail and of course could not.
On Monday of this week I eventually made contact and asked them to change the price back to the original quote and the lady said that she would and I asked her to confirm this with an e-mail with the amended price, she said yes, I never received it.
I then noticed that on line the price was cheaper again, so i tried to make contact and was unable to due to heavy volume.
Tuesday I made contact with an agent and decided i did not want the juicer, she informed me that the package had been sent, although i pointed out to her that I had not received the e-mail conforming this, by this time I had seen 3 different prices by then and was being charged the wrong amount. When i was explaining the reason for not wanting it, the phone line went dead.
I called back again and spoke to a chap there, he confirmed that the price had not been amended and that I was still going to be charged $170. He said well don’t worry, if you do not want it send it back and you will be refunded, i thought great. After thinking about it, I thought why should i pay for the shipping on something that was not ordered and I was quoted the wrong price…. So i phoned back
I spoke to another girl… i tried to speak to a Manager again, she said that they would tell me the same thing, the package has been sent etc etc. I tried to reiterate through all these conversations that I had not ordered this extra item, and I no longer wanted it. She said that they would send a request to the manager to pull the tapes from the original order and would call be back in three days, this was yesterday, so i will keep you posted. Before the conversation had finished I explained i was actually paying more for the system itself when compared to the website, she disagreed, she looked at the website and realized that i was correct…. she kept on saying that she had spent enough time with me and the phone line went dead, for a second time, how strange. I cannot convey in words how rude she was, none of the agents listen, they deny everything and I was just amazed.
After being clicked on both occasions no attempt was made to call me back.
On the original e-mail you receive you get quoted the two amounts that will be debited from your card, so i though i would check my credit card company to see what was going on. In fact the figures were different than the e-mail and they also told me that there are two amounts coming off, for over $230, rather than $170 baring in mind my original quote is $140.
I have worked in sales and call centers and used the phone for business for 15 years and i have never dealt with such badly trained people, i can’t even blame them, the system does not work and the management had not trained them properly or do not care who they employ.
All i can say is be specific with your order, always ask for names, record your conversations and be aware that you may have problems.
I did consider writing this e-mail as I find blogs can be very one sided and the majority of customers who buy this could be happy with the service and the product. Excellent if you do.
I will keep you all posted with these developments and let you know what happens.
And maybe if someone is looking at this from the company, or the wonderful Jack sees this, maybe you can give me a call and explain what is going on, order # 21582200952424127
Does anybody know where the call centre is?
Its a shame that I can’t even comment on the quality of the product.
Caveat Emptor people
Wow!!! You had quite an experience with this people. Good luck and thanks for sharing your history with the Jack Lalanne’s Power Juicer.
Update
So as i said, I was waiting for a call back from a supervisor who should have pulled the original call information, i have still not received a call from them. That will be one week tomorrow.
I have received my first charge and it now appears they have removed the other amount which was going to be charged incorrectly.
Ah that’s better, spoke to someone with some sense, got it for the original price, that was hard.
Thanks at last….
I watched the Infomercial 2 days ago and it was Jack’s Birthday Special. The Pro model with Lifetime Motor Warranty and all the Books for 2 payments of $49.95 + shipping.
I lost the number to call. I googled the Juicer and found this Blog. Wow! I’m not sure what to do yet?? I have a Wheat Grass Juicer I paid $120.00 for and had warn out the Plastic parts already in 10 months. It was $69.00 for the Parts they were going to charge me until I faxed them My receipt. They sent me the replacement parts free.
I wanted to see if anyone else juices their Wheat Grass with Jack’s pro or Elite?
I will Buy it due to the Juicer I have will be worn out in 6-9 months anyway.
Feel free to email me if you have Experience with Wheat Grass Juicing even with the Vita Mix. rw @ totalvue dot com (Remove spaces). Thanks,
Ron
I’m so glad I read your comments about Jack Lalanne”s Juicer, it looked great on the commercial, but I won’t be purchasing it now that I know its crap, thanks!
I should conclude that I did not take delivery of the juicer and decided to send it straight back.
I was refunded my money as promised and at the original price.
I cannot comment on the quality of the juicer as I did not try it, however I would be very careful with the decision to buy the juicer based solely on the poor customer service.
Hi there,
Thanks for the update on your Jack Lalanne’s Power Juicer ordeal!
Again, I am reading these because I opted in for notification on this blog. But both my Jack la Lanne juicers work fine, We use them weekly if not daily (for 3 years+) and I have never had an issue with them I think back when Macy’s sold them they had a better product. maybe the issue was not the juicer back then but who makes it NOW. I have no proof to support this and both my ex-wife and I swear by the juicer…I think in all the hey day and all the publicity Jack just sold out to the next cheapest bidder to build them and we got screwed in the end.
Sad to say if and when either juicer goes i will not be getting a new one. From what i see….we were blessed to have them and have gotten the most bang for our buck. I hope others share their positive stories also.
I’ve got a brand new one in the box. Never been opened. Anyone want to buy it from me for 80 bucks? If so, call me at 818-943-1330. this is the replacement macine they sent me for the first one I bought and had to return.
Hey there,
I bought my power juicer a few months ago and I juice at
least twice a day and my juicer works perfectly. I have yet
to notice any problems with the juicer and would
recommend this product to anybody who is considering
buying it. I was definitely surprised to read all the bad reviews. Though I did not buy my juicer online or by phone, I bought it from Macy’s and so I cannot comment on the customer service. For those of you counting this is more than a couple good reviews so far. I myself bought this product because it came highly recommended by my family and friends. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
I have been using a Jack LaLanne power juicer classic almost daily for about 2 years and it is still working fine. You can get better juicers, for sure, but for $100 the power juicer classic is great. Of course, there will also be some defective models when things are mass produced. In my personal experience – all has been well.
I ordered the power juicer on 6/8/10…they did not charge my credit card and ship my package until 6/14.
It started out in Nevada, took a week to get to New Jersey, and on 6/22 the UPS status was “out for delivery”. Would you believe it is still “out for delivery”.
The evening of 6/23 I called UPS…they informed me that only the shipper can initiate a lost package claim. So I called Tristar customer service and spoke with a very rude young lady who told me that according to their information the package was arriving “Today” and I had to wait until the end of the business day…this was 8PM. I mentioned this, and she informed me, “they deliver until 9:30”. Well, I don’t know what planet she is on, but UPS in my neighborhood never delivers that late except at Christmastime.
The next morning (6/24) I called TriStar again and asked to file a lost package claim. I was told (again) that the package “should be arriving today”…I explained the situation, and the young man reluctantly agreed to initiate a claim.
Friday morning, 6/25, I called UPS again, and found that no claim had been filed. Called Tristar back, and got the same rude young lady who told me that the package was out for delivery, and that is their policy that shipping can take 6 – 8 weeks, so I just had to wait. I asked to speak with a supervisor. Got put on hold for about a minute, and was told no one was available, but I could call back if I wanted to. I said I didn’t want to call back, I wanted to file a lost package claim. Again I was told I had to wait, (“policy”, bla-bla-bla), to which I responded “I don’t care.” “Excuse me??” came the reply. Wish I could have seen her face. I repeated myself: “I don’t care. I want to file a lost claim, and I want to do it TODAY.” She said “I can’t do that” so I kindly informed her I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau, and ended the call. Called UPS back, and after THEY couldn’t get someone at Tristar to assist me/them, they initiated a tracer.
I realize that UPS lost the package on their watch, not Tristar. The problem I have with Tristar is the fact that they refused to assist me with filing the lost package claim, and were completely ignorant to the situation. “Out for Delivery” is not “six to eight weeks”away, it means the item is on the truck to be delivered to the receiver THAT DAY. Very poor customer service.

I bought a new Jack lalanne juicer on ebay australia last week.
It arrived and when I turned it on was very noisy and then a bad smell and faint smoke came out of the motor.
I turned it off and it juiced carrots and apples well.
The second time I used it it juiced one orange and one carrot then stopped working although I could still hear the motor. Smoke and bad smell happened again.
I have contacted the seller to return it. Maybe there was a bad batch because others have posted the same problem.
I am so disappointed – I fell for the ad on TV and couldnt wait for mine to arrive.
I am now going to the store to buy the best juicer I can find.
Good luck with the next juicer. I haven’t gone back to get a new one.
I also bought the juicer and what a waste of money. I totally agree. I was very disapointed as well. The juicer kept jamming on me with juicing carrots and though fruits and finally had to stop using and sold it back on Ebay as a used item for $27. Based on a friend recommendation i purchase the StreamLine juicer and is extremely happy with, the difference is describable, and use this juicer daily.

O boy, what a bad decision it was to buy this huge contraption, and what a mess it made, it is also heavy and takes up way too much counter space, I warned my husband not to buy it, but he did not listen and he is now returning it to the store where he bought it…………it really is garbage, and the juice tasted terrible!!
A complete waste of time and money!!!!
I’ve had mine for five years now — use it regularly and have never had a problem. It is the white model (not the stainless steel). We like and enjoy it very much. Regarding the number of negative comments on this blog: It is the human condition (at least currently) to complain more than complement. I would take these comments with a grain of salt.
I have had my juicer since Feb 2012 and I made sure I read all of the instructions before using, as I never do, and I must say that I am very pleased with mine. It is serving it’s purpose and I enjoy all the different recipe ideas. Now I am more interested in the NutiBullet only because it appears to be more user friendly and it doesn’t lose any of the fiber from the vegetables. NO MESSY PULP cleanup. It pulverizes the fruits and vegetables and nothing goes to waste. It also does bananas and nuts.
Overall, I am a satisfied customer.

I had just used my juicer for the first time. It died on me only after 1st use. Left it off for more than 10mins, and it came back on again. I think the problem is with the motor.. It overheats easily. Also, never put in a whole apple! Always chop it up into smaller pieces. If not, the motor overheats and dies again. Just my experience to share.
I used my power juicer for the first time the other day and the juice tasted amazing. I noticed that when I turned it off the motor kept running and was vibrating a little. I thought that was normal. I was so excited to juice the next day, but the juicer would not turn on. I’m so disappointed. I called customer service and she said that the replacement motor is free, but I need to pay for shipping and handling which is $29. I’m skeptical that I will get another lemon motor. I don’t think I want to risk getting another one that will brake after one use.

I also bought a jack lalanne power juicer at wal mart used it once it is hard to clean and I thought it sucked.threw away box because thought I would love it,hate it
I got mine the other day. I have assembled, disassembled, and it will not work. I have heard that the micro safety switch is often to blame. I am probably going to take mine back.
I bought the white power juicer about three years ago it work ok and the quality of the juice is great, clean up is a challenge and hence i dont juice as ofter as I would love to If i can remember to put a bag in the trash collector is saves time on the clean up. my price was ninety nine dollars from bed bath and beyond. Last week I wanted to add some ginger to my beets and carrot juice and after the ginger was extracted the machine stopped working. This happened tons of time before so I plugged out the machine and went the have lunch. went back after more than an hour to clean up and the machine has not worked since. I came to the site to see if there is a place that repairs this machine and to see if i could have the motor replaced. I know there are other machines which work even better and clean up is a breeze but i am determined to live within my means.
Anyone know where i could get the motor repaired or replaced?
