I feel like I have neglected my blog for so long. I guess I just felt like doing some other things lately. As an example, I have been doing a lot of cooking and baking lately; but, it’s all out of my interest… LOL after 36 years I finally take a real interest in my kitchen!!! So, the baking is going great, as you can see from my cakes’ pictures. But, most importantly, I signed up for the Wilton Cake Decorating class with Michaels craft store. I baked a cake and made my own icing! Sky blue… see picture. The icing is not perfect, but it was my
first time, I am sure it will just get better with practice. Well, tonight, I have my second class and we’ll be doing the decorating, I am so excited. Stay tuned, in a few days, I will be posting pictures of my master piece! The final decorated cake.
By the way, the class was very inexpensive, $21 for course 1, plus toll kit. But, you can get a 10% discount on every item once you signed up for the class. Also, the store gives out 50% discount coupons that you can use for you most expensive items. And, they will be having a promotion next month, so my second course will come up to only $7.50.
On another note, I was trying to save some money and decided to get a quote for my car insurance at CarInsurance.com and Progressive came about $330 / year cheaper than my current policy with State Farm. Well, I was battling between saving some money with Progressive, but possibly sacrificing the great customer service I have received from State Farm in the last 5 plus years. In the end, I decided to pay a little more but at least I am sure I am getting great service when I need it. I checked JDPower.com and State Farm has Better Than Most Rating for overall experience compared to Progressive with only About Average I believe customer service wins every time, no matter what. I totally recommend State Farm for your car insurance.
